BILLINGS – The Sidney Eagles are the favorites to win the State A wrestling title in two weeks. Saturday, they looked like they could compete for the State AA title, too.

Sidney won 11 of 13 matches against Billings Senior on their way to a 57-9 win in the first match of the day at the Billings Duals held at Senior’s gym.

Defending state champion Kaiden Cline got Sidney started with a pin over Daylon Forshee at 113 pounds, and the Eagles were off. Sidney also got pins in the final four weight classes from Trevor Dean (170), Jett Jones (182), Brodey Skogen (205), and Trey Schepens (285).

Sidney will try to defend its title at the State Wrestling meet Feb. 8-9 at MetraPark in Billings.
