THOMPSON FALLS — Host team Thompson Falls won four matches during Thursday night’s quad invitational, which included programs from St. Ignatius-Charlo, Alberton-Superior and Florence.
The Blue Hawks’ second-ranked Trae Thilmony earned a pinfall in just 53 seconds against St. Ignatius-Charlo’s Isaiah Fields in a 120-pound bout. Thilmony was ranked No. 2 at 113 pounds in the Class B-C polls released earlier this week. Dakota Irvine, who landed at No. 3 at 182 pounds, dropped a 9-3 decision against Alberton-Superior’s Trey Green.
Lucas Anderson won two of three matches for Thompson Falls at the 145-pound weight class.
St. Ignatius-Charlo earned 12 individual wins during the quad, including two each from Darwin Adams, Cole Gilliard, Ethan Diaz and Isaiah Alik. Alik was ranked fourth at 170 pounds in the latest coaches polls, and won by falls in 40 and 54 seconds. Diaz earned the quick pin honor, defeating Alberton-Superior’s Silas Acker in 17 seconds.
Fifth-ranked Isaac DuMontier added another victory for No. 10 St. Ignatius-Charlo, pinning Thomas Anderson of Alberton-Superior in 22 seconds.
Hunter Haskins paced Alberton-Superior with a pair of wins, one by fall and one 6-2 decision, while Florence picked up four wins throughout the invite.
