GREAT FALLS — The Huntley Project Red Devils held off rival Columbus-Absarokee to win the 2019 Class B-C wrestling duals championship on Saturday at Paris Gibson Education Center. The Red Devils won 40-34 to capture the tournament’s championship.
Sixteen teams invaded the Electric City for the third annual Class B-C duals, which is hosted by Great Falls Central Catholic.
Huntley Project defeated Whitehall 49-17 in the semifinals on Saturday, advancing to the championship dual, while Columbus-Absarokee used a 36-30 victory over Eureka to move to the finals. The two Southern B rivals were closely matched in the championship, though the Red Devils came out on top. Huntley Project was the highest-ranked team in the latest Class B-C polls attending the duals. The Red Devils were ranked No. 4 this week, while Columbus-Absarokee was sixth.
Eureka defeated Whitehall 39-18 to clinch the third-place finish.
