Sidney’s Christian Dean the lone newcomer to No. 1 in Class A wrestling polls

SIDNEY — The top of the rankings didn’t see much movement in the latest Class A wrestling poll. In fact, Sidney’s Christian Dean was the lone newcomer to the top spot in the individual polls, moving from No. 2 in the 145-pound class to No. 1 at 138. The other 12 top-ranked wrestlers all remained the same from this poll sent to MontanaSports.com in December, prior to the holiday break.

Dean and Sidney remain No. 1 in the team poll, while Havre, Polson and Frenchtown hold steady behind the Eagles. Ronan, Columbia Falls, Hamilton, Laurel, Belgrade and Lewistown round out the team poll.

Dean is joined by teammates Aden Graves (132 pounds) and Jett Jones (182) at No. 1 in their respective individual weight classes. Havre and Frenchtown each boast a pair of top-ranked wrestlers — Mick Chagnon (103) and Martin Wilkie (145) for the Blue Ponies, Walker Dyer (113) and Jake Bibler (120) for the Broncs.
