Billings West’s Rhodes brothers, Levi Malcolm top-ranked in Class AA wrestling poll

BUTTE — Last Saturday they were each crowned Tom LeProwse Battle in the Bridgers wrestling champions. Now they’re all three top-ranked.

Billings West wrestlers Drake Rhodes, Jace Rhodes and Levi Malcolm all sit No. 1 in their respective weight classes — Drake Rhodes at 113 pounds, Jace Rhodes at 170 and Malcolm in the heavyweight division — in the latest Class AA wrestling polls. Jace Rhodes and Malcolm remained No. 1 this week, while the younger Rhodes climbed up after winning medalist honors at the prestigious tournament in Bozeman.

West is No. 3 in the team poll behind heavy state favorite Bozeman and second-ranked Billings Senior.

The Hawks continue to have Leif Schroeder (132 pounds) and Chance McLane (152) top-ranked, while Brock Rodrigues jumped two spots to No. 1 at 145 pounds after defeating defending champion Kai Stewart of Great Falls CMR in the LeProwse finals. Sterling Quinn (126) and Coy Cohenour (160) each sit No. 2 in their respective weight classes.

Jahzriel Peak moved from No. 4 at 145 pounds to No. 1 in the 138-pound bracket after also earning a gold medal at the LeProwse on Saturday. Matthew DeWitt is still top-ranked at 126 pounds for the Broncs.

Butte, Helena Capital and Great Falls High round out the team poll.
