BILLINGS – Senior Night lived up to the hype at Billings West on Tuesday, but ultimately, it was Senior’s night.

Jayden Ramirez pinned West High’s Michael Deleon at 138 pounds in the opening match, setting a tone for the Broncs’ 39-28 road win under the dome.

Senior quickly led 11-0 after Jahzriel Peak beat Aaron Amador in a 17-2 tech fall. The Broncs would build a 21-0 lead following Luke Brewer’s 12-1 major decision over Logan Gallagher and a pin from Thomas Klepps over Jake Jaeger.

The Bears answered with a barrage of victories and drew within 24-18 after rallying to win three of four. When Drake Rhodes earned a 12-2 decision over Alejandro Madrid at 113 pounds, the Bears drew within 27-22.

Former Q2 Athlete of the Week RJ Lowdog gave West its first (and only) lead of the night at 28-27 when he pinned Jaden Starkey with just two matches remaining.

But back-to-back Senior pins from Matthew Dewitt (126) and Idren Peak (132) sealed a 39-28 win for the Broncs.
