MISSOULA -- The third year of the Western AA divisional basketball tournaments tipped off Thursday morning at Missoula Sentinel High School with first-round action.
A total of four games on the girls side and four games on the boys side were played throughout the day.
In the girls bracket, the No. 1-seeded Helena Capital Bruins cruised past the Missoula Big Sky Eagles to move on to the semifinal round. The Missoula Hellgate boys also came out rolling, as expected, moving past the Big Sky boys to head to the semifinals on Friday afternoon.
