BILLINGS — Karen Switzer, who won a state championship with Billings Senior in 2002, has been named the Broncs’ new head volleyball coach, according to School District 2 activities director Mark Wahl.
Switzer played for longtime coach Jeff Carroll. She now succeeds Sue Dvorak, who resigned in March after two seasons.
Switzer graduated from MSU Billings in 2006 with a degree in public relations. During college, she became an assistant at Senior, guiding the sophomore team for five years before moving up to lead the JV team for one season. Switzer then took time off to raise a family and help with a family business.
