BOZEMAN — Winning still hasn’t gotten old for the Huntley Project volleyball team.
The Red Devils won the program’s 11th Class B state championship on Saturday, sweeping Florence 25-18, 25-11, 25-18 at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. The teams met for last year’s title, as well, with Huntley Project also winning that matchup.
Addy Hultgren keyed a balanced Huntley Project attack on Saturday. The 5-foot-6 junior recorded 44 assists, spreading the ball around to Mollee Krum, Emily Poole and Alana Graves. Krum and Poole each tallied 14 kills, while Graves had 13. Krum added two blocks, and Poole had two aces and 13 digs. Maggie Taylor led the Red Devil defense with 16 digs.
Hultgren also had two aces in Saturday’s championship match.
With the win, Huntley Project capped its second consecutive undefeated season and has now won 67 consecutive matches.
