WORDEN – The Huntley Project Lady Red Devils are undefeated in 2018 and their firepower was on full display Thursday night at the Southern B Divisional Tournament.

The Red Devils rolled over Manhattan in the opening round and that set up a battle with Baker, who beat Three Forks earlier in the day.

The Lady Spartans had no answer for the Huntley Project duo of Emily Poole and Mollee Krum. The two stars delivered hard kill after hard kill as Huntley Project cruised to a 25-8 game one win.

It was more of the same in game two, but this time junior Alana Graves got in the act. Graves opened the set with a kill and the Red Devils never looked back. Huntley Project coasted again in game two 25-5 and they easily completed the sweep.

The first quarterfinal of the night featured Roundup and Jefferson. Roundup swept Colstrip in round one, while Jefferson outlasted Joliet.

The two teams would play a back and forth affair. Jefferson rushed out of the gates in game one and led 8-1 after the first 9 points. Roundup however earned themselves a new nickname on this night…The comeback kids.

Roundup stormed back behind the play of Chloe Cota and Meghan Eiselein and the Panthers took game one 28-26.

Game two followed a very similar script. Jefferson stormed ahead 16-9 only to see Roundup respond again. Roundup went on an 11-4 run to tie the game at 20 and then survived set point to win 30-28.

Roundup won game 3 in regulation 25-21 as they swept their way into the undefeated semifinal.

Huntley Project and Roundup will meet in the undefeated semifinal on Friday night at around 6:00 P.M..
