CHURCHILL – The defending state champion Ennis Mustangs volleyball team is headed back to the District 12C championship game after defeating Twin Bridges 25-14, 25-13, 25-22 on Thursday night.
Jourdain Klein led the way for Ennis with 14 kills.
The Mustangs also defeated Drummond, 25-17, 25-13, 25-9, earlier Thursday to advance to the semifinals.
Twin Bridges is still in contention for a spot in the title game. The Falcons defeated Philipsburg 25-23, 25-20, 25-16 earlier Thursday but now have to stave off elimination on Saturday.
The District 12C tournament continues with the championship round Friday at the Manhattan Christian Event Center.
