BILLINGS – After losing a close opening set, Billings West won the next three for a key win at rival Billings Senior Thursday, bringing the Bears back atop the Eastern AA volleyball standings.
Senior won a tight first set 25-23, before West took it to another level. The Bears dominated the next three sets, 25-15, 25-19, 25-14 to move to 8-2 in conference, while Senior dropped to 7-3. Bozeman is also 8-2 after beating Billings Skyview Thursday.
West has two Eastern AA matches left, at Great Falls CMR and Great Falls High on Oct. 26 and 27. Senior can help the Bears with an away match at Bozeman next Thursday before its regular-season finalé against Butte the next night.
