BUTTE — 10 teams met in Butte for the final Class A regular season tournament of the year.
Belgrade and Corvallis, winners of pool play, met in the tournament’s championship game. Belgrade, who won the tournament last year, held off Corvallis in the two-set final, 25-17, 26-24.
This tournament presented Class A schools from both the East and West sides of the state to compete against one another before the state tournament.
“We were anticipating playing teams that were going to put pressure on us,” Corvallis head coach Kasey Arceniega said. “We don’t get to see Belgrade besides this tournament, so we’re always excited for it. Fergus, Park, we don’t really see those teams. We know those are the teams that are going to put some pressure on us and play differently than some teams in our conference. This is a fantastic tournament.”
