BILLINGS – Billings Senior star Kola Bad Bear will miss the rest of her senior season after suffering a torn ACL Saturday in a volleyball match against Belgrade.

Bad Bear suffered the injury on a slide, according to head coach Sue Dvorak, the same kind she “has hit hundreds of times.” The 6-foot-2 middle blocker led Class AA in kills per set at the time.

Bad Bear is scheduled to have surgery Oct. 23 but tells MTN Sports that could be moved up as early as next Tuesday, Oct. 16. She hopes to make a full recovery by July.

Bad Bear verbally committed to play basketball at Montana State back in February. She led Class AA in scoring her junior season with 16.8 points per game.
