Helena schools sweep conference volleyball trips to Missoula

MISSOULA – Helena High and Helena Capital continued to prove their dominance on the Western AA volleyball courts Thursday night. The Bengals and Bruins swept road matches in Missoula.

The first-place Helena High Bengals fell behind Missoula Hellgate in the first set, but the Bengals came back to hold off the Knights in the first and then finish off the sweep in three sets. Helena improves to 7-0 just past the midway point of conference play. Hellgate falls to 2-5.

Capital went to the home of two-time defending state champ Sentinel and picked up a 3-0 sweep over the Spartans. The Bruins are now 6-1 in league. Sentinel remains in fourth place with a 3-4 record.
