GREAT FALLS – For the second straight year, the Billings Senior volleyball team claimed the championship at the annual Great Falls Volleyball Invite.
The Broncs topped Helena Capital 25-17, 25-14 in the title match to cap off an undefeated weekend in the Electric City. Last year, the Broncs beat Missoula Sentinel for the Invite title but eventually fell to the Spartans in November at the State AA tournament in Bozeman.
The Bruins finished in second place after a third place finish a year ago.
In the third place match, Helena High school swept the defending AA champion Sentinel Spartans in two sets, 25-16, 25-17.
The annual event featured all 14 Class AA schools plus Havre and Lewistown from Class A.
