GREAT FALLS – The Helena Capital girls and boys swept the Great Falls CMR track teams at a dual meet Tuesday afternoon.
The Bruins claimed a 76-68 win on the boys side, while the girls won 95-50.
Capital’s Audrey Bloomquist earned a personal-best time in the 100-meter dash, with a state qualifying mark of 12.62 seconds. Bloomquist also won the 200.
Great Falls CMR’s Breanna Johns had already qualified for state in the shot put, but threw for a personal record (PR) of 38 feet, 5.5 inches. Rustler teammate Kylee Gilcher threw 115-04 in the javelin, also a state qualifying mark.
CMR’s Nick Konesky qualified for state in the boys shot put, with a PR of 48-0. Andrea Newbrough qualified for state in the high jump with a 5-1 jump.
