GLENDIVE — Baker’s Wrenzi Wrzesinski was up to her usual dominance on the track Friday afternoon in Glendive.
Wrzesinski won the 100- and 300-meter hurdles, both of which Wrzesinski is the two-time defending Class B state champion in. She won the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.03 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 47.1. Wrzesinski won the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 2.5 inches, and she finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.19.
Wrzesinski’s performance helped Baker win Friday’s team title, holding off Miles City for first (123-119).
On the boys side, Miles City junior Aidan Barrows won both hurdle races, the Cowboys took first and second place in the 400-meter relay, but that wasn’t enough for Miles City to win the team title. Bowman County High School (ND) had several runners place in the 400, 800 and 1,600, while also having the triple jump winner. Bowman County scored 170 points, compared to Miles City’s 117.
