HELENA — In a Western AA softball doubleheader featuring the Helena schools and Missoula schools, Helena Capital fared the best, beating Missoula Big Sky 15-0 and Sentinel 2-1. Across town, Helena High failed to generate any offense in Game 1, losing to Sentinel 9-0, but then exploded to win by 23 against Missoula Big Sky.

In Game 2, Capital’s Nicole Ames dominated a Missoula Sentinel team that had just put up nine runs a few hours prior, pitching a one-run complete game where she struck out 10 batters and walked none.

All four teams will be back in action on May 7, with Helena Capital and Helena High meeting in a crosstown clash.
