Livingston girls, Havre boys win Central A divisional titles

LEWISTOWN — The Livingston girls and Havre boys earned team titles at the Central A divisional tennis tournament held in Lewistown on Thursday.

The Livingston girls scored 45 points to Havre’s 40 to get the first-place trophy. Bobbi Lima was crowned the singles champion for the Rangers, who also boasted the doubles champions in Kodie Vondra and Sylvie Schoenen.

Lima defeated Havre’s McKenzie Tommerup 6-1, 6-2 in the championship. The Vondra/Schoenen team defeated Havre’s team of Kadyn Acor and Cassidy Acor 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 in the doubles championship.

Havre’s boys doubles teams finished first and second to help the Blue Ponies to the team trophy. Tommy Brown and Tyrel Kjersem won the doubles championship 6-4, 6-2, over teammates Jake Huston and Reese Bulkley.

Livingston’s Brendon Johnson defeated Havre’s Josh Warp 6-3, 6-0 for the singles title.
