Missoula Loyola sweeps titles at Class B Division 3 golf tournament

ANACONDA — The Class B Division 3 golf tournament was held Tuesday at historic Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda.

Missoula Loyola swept the titles at the Division 3 tournament with the boys finishing in 332 strokes and the girls in 379. Anaconda (372 strokes), Florence (373) and Townsend (389) rounded out the boys’ top four. Bigfork (414 strokes), Anaconda (447) and Manhattan (494) finished second, third and fourth, respectively, on the girls’ side.

Bucky Crippen led the boys’ field with a 1-over-par 73. Thompson Falls’ Ethan Brown was second with a 79. Loyola’s Reed Noyd, Townsend’s Cody Graveley and Anaconda’s Kai Bauer shot 83, 84, and 85 to finish in the top five.

Loyola’s girls took the top two places with Carroll College commit Katie Fagg earned medalist honors with a 78. Teammate Isadora Tomazeli shot an 85 to hold off Bigfork’s Isabella Santistevan and her 86 for second. Carly Stodghill of Bigfork shot an 89, and Florence’s Annie Alexander rounded out the top five with a 96.

The top four teams on both the boys and girls side, along with the top 15 individual boys and girls golfers, stamped their places to the Class B state tournament in Missoula.
