BELGRADE – The Belgrade Panthers boys soccer team braved a snow-filled Saturday afternoon to take down Hamilton in the first round of the Class A state playoffs 4-0.
Belgrade, the defending state champion, started the scoring in the 8th minute as Kanon Tebo buried a shot right in front of the goal on a cross from EJ Dewell. Tebo remained an offensive catalyst, assisting teammate Nicolas Buendia on the Panthers’ second goal of the game.
After a goal by Tyler Monlux, Belgrade went into halftime with a 3-0 lead. The snow calmed down and the Panthers added one more insurance goal in the second half.
Belgrade is back at home next week to face Polson in the state semifinals.
