BILLINGS – The Billings Senior boys beat Great Falls CMR 4-0 Friday afternoon to clinch the No. 2 seed in the Eastern AA and a bye to the upcoming State AA tournament.
Senior took a 1-0 lead in the first minute and held onto the advantage at halftime. Justen Unrein doubled the lead early in the second half, as he intercepted a CMR clearance attempt in the top right corner of the Rustlers’ box and fired over the keeper for a stunning goal.
Max George made it 3-0 Broncs on a penalty kick minutes later.
The win moves the Broncs to 6-2-3 on the season for 21 points, tied with Billings West in the Eastern AA standings, but Senior owns the tiebreaker after two 2-0 wins over West this season. Bozeman will be the East’s No. 1 seed after an undefeated 12-0-0 regular season.
