GREAT FALLS – Missoula Sentinel held off a scrappy effort from Great Falls CMR Thursday night, pulling away in the fourth quarter for a 72-57 Class AA boys basketball win.
The Spartans led the majority of the game but could never build a big lead for the first three quarters, struggling to move the ball and score against the Rustlers' physical zone defense.
Sentinel led 54-49 entering the third quarter before outscoring CMR 18-8 in the final frame.
Both teams are off for the rest of the month and will resume play in January after the holiday break.
