SIDNEY -- The Laurel girls were as impressive as could be on Friday, taking the top four spots on the podium and dominating the team standings at the Sidney Golf Invitational, winning by an astounding 51 strokes.
The Locomotives shot a cumulative 342, besting runner-up Sidney (393) and third-place Miles City (482).
Haylee Adams led Laurel with a medalist effort of 83, while teammates Hannah Adams and Breanna Jensen tied with 86s on Friday. Alivia Webinger placed fourth after shooting an 87, giving the Locos the top four scores of the invite.
Miles City's Karsyn Swigart went for 90 and fifth place, while Sidney golfers Sarah Karanjai (92) and Karly Volk (93), and Havre's Jocelyn Staples (99) rounded out the top eight.
Nick Pasquarello took the boys individual title by a single stroke, besting Sidney's Matt Hansen, 77-78, while also leading his Billings Central squad to the team title. The Rams scored 322 to defeat Laurel (337), while Havre (356) went for third place.
Pasquarello's teammates, Malachi Stewart (79) and Connor Walsh (81) placed third and fourth, respectively.
