The 2019 Class A state softball tournament begins Thursday morning at the Polson Softball Complex and runs through Saturday afternoon.
Two-time defending State A champion Belgrade enters as a No. 1 seed after winning the Central A divisional tournament, while Hardin, Polson and Frenchtown secured the top seeds from their respective leagues. Hardin, which went 10-0 in Eastern A play, was given the league’s No. 1 seed after rain and sloppy field conditions forced officials to cancel the Eastern A divisional tournament in Sidney last weekend.
