MISSOULA — On Tuesday afternoon the Missoula Hellgate girls hosted Missoula Big Sky for the first crosstown soccer game of the year.
Big Sky came out hot, putting lots of pressure on Hellgate's defense. In the 10th minute the Eagles found the back of the net to make it 1-0.
But it was all Hellgate from there. Clara Tallent got the ball in front of the box and evaded two defenders before lobbing a perfect shot over the Eagles' goalie to tie it at 1-1.
That goal gave the Knights some momentum as they scored two more goals and held the Eagles at bay the rest of the game to win it 3-1.
