MISSOULA — The Helena Bengals and Capital Bruins traveled to Missoula on Tuesday night to take on Big Sky and Sentinel in Western AA volleyball matches.
Helena Bengals 3, Big Sky Eagles 0
From the first set on Helena high looked to be the better team on the floor. In the first set the Bengals took a commanding 13-5 lead after a powerful hit from Lauren Heuiser. Aubrie Christman followed that the next possession with an even more impressive hit to the left corner for the winner. The Bengals took the first set and didn't look back, sweeping the Eagles on the road.
Capital Bruins 3, Sentinel Spartans 0
Across town it was the Bruins visiting the Spartans. The Bruins used their size advantage in the first two sets to cruise to easy victories. In the third it wasn't much different as the Bartsch twins, Dani and Paige, took over to lead Capital to a sweep of the Spartans.
