HAMILTON -- Tanner Hanson earned a six-stroke victory, helping his Hamilton Broncs to the team title at their own golf invite on Thursday. The Hamilton girls also took team honors, while Corvallis' Macee Greenwood took an impressive 13-stroke victory for the girls medalist honors.
Hanson scored a 72 Thursday, besting Corvallis' Luke Schlimgen (78) by six strokes, while fellow Bronc Max Cianflone placed third with an 81. Hamilton's five golfers shot 88-or-better to lead the Broncs to a 37-stroke victory in the team standings.
Greenwood's 80 was nearly enough to lead Corvallis to the team title in the girls race, but Hamilton earned a one-stroke victory, 409-410, behind Aly Rose's 94, which placed third. Frenchtown's Harper Armitage scored a 93 to earn runner-up honors.
