GREAT FALLS — Great Falls Public Schools released its COVID facility guidelines for winter sports in a press release on Wednesday.

Most of the general guidelines from the fall remain the same. But for the upcoming season, each “home” and “away” participant in uniform will be allowed to have two guests in attendance. Guests will be listed next to their respective athlete's name on the roster and will be required to sign in at the entrance point.

Guests will also answer health screening questions before entry. The list of guests will be provided by each team no later than 9 a.m. the morning of the contest.

There are also specific guidelines for each GFPS facility depending on the sport. For swimming at the Great Falls High pool, no fans will be allowed on the pool deck.

For basketball at the fieldhouses at Great Falls High and Great Falls CMR, fans will be located on the opposite side of the court from their team benches. There will be a roped off "buffer" area between the fan sections.

For wrestling and basketball at the Great Falls High Old Gym, home fans will be on the west side of the gym, while away fans will be on the east. For wrestling at the CMR fieldhouse, fans will be limited to the upper mezzanine.
