BILLINGS — Shayla Montague overcame a poor-shooting start to score a game-high 19 points, and TyLee Manuel added 12 as the Billings West girls basketball team pulled away from Billings Skyview Thursday 72-37 in the final Billings crosstown game of the year.
Skyview hung with the Bears in the first quarter. They tied the game at 10-10 before West ended the quarter on a 10-2 run. The Bears upped the lead to 39-21 by halftime.
Freshman Brooke Berry led the Falcons with 18 but didn’t get much help – no other Skyview player scored more than four points.
West stays atop the Eastern AA with the win, moving to 8-1 in conference, 14-1 overall. Skyview stays winless at 0-15, 0-9.
