Four teams fell from the MontanaSports.com high school girls basketball power rankings. Kalispell Glacier, Billings Central, Forsyth and Belt fell out of their respective polls after losing to Missoula Hellgate, Hardin, Colstrip and Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap last week.

The Knights, which defeated the Wolfpack 60-39, are now fifth in the Class AA poll, behind Helena High, Helena Capital, Billings West and Butte. The two-time defending champion Bengals are Class AA’s lone undefeated team remaining.

Hardin got the better of Billings Central in Round 2 at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark. The Bulldogs were ranked fifth last week and climbed up one spot to No. 4. Undefeated Havre, the defending champion, still tops the Class A poll. Browning and Columbia Falls maintained their spots at Nos. 2 and 3, as well.

In Class B, Forsyth dropped just its second game of the season, losing an overtime thriller to Colstrip, putting Whitehall in the top five. Unbeaten Townsend is No. 1, followed by Wolf Point, Florence and Harlem.

And in Class C, Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap became the first team since 2009 to beat Belt’s girls twice in one season. That was enough to knock the Huskies from the top five and get the Titans some votes. Froid-Medicine Lake also lost, to Westby-Grenora, last week, so the Redhawks slipped to No. 5 in this week’s rankings. Box Elder, the defending champion, and Savage maintained their holds at Nos. 1 and 2. Scobey moved up to third, and Fort Benton is slotted fourth this week after taking Box Elder to overtime last week.
