List: Montana high school basketball 30-point club

Kailee Henry did all she could Friday night, but it still wasn’t enough for her Dodson squad to overcome a well-balanced attack from the Turner Tornadoes.

Henry scored 41 points, the new single-game high on the girls basketball courts this winter, knocking down eight 3-pointers and six more field goals in an 80-61 defeat. The 41 points surpassed Cascade’s Georgia Mortag’s 39 points from the week prior, which had topped Box Elder’s Joelnell Momberg and her 37 points on Jan. 10.

Henry had 10 points in the opening quarter and 21 at halftime, but Turner’s 27-point first quarter was too much for Henry’s heroics to overcome.

Westby-Grenora’s Jenna Rust had an impressive stat line of her own over the weekend, scoring 33 points against Bainville to make her second appearance on the MTN Sports 30-point club. But in the 60-48 victory for the Thunder, Rust added 20 rebounds, four blocks and four steals.

On the boys basketball courts, Melstone’s Brody Grebe added another pair of performances with 30-plus points, scoring 36 against Jordan on Jan. 24 and 34 points against Wibaux the following evening. Big Timber’s Kell Schwers scored 33 against Whitehall on Saturday, while Fairfield added two performance to the lists with Keeley Baker scoring 30 against Choteau on Friday, the same total the Bulldogs’ Sayer Patton reached, while Dawson Allen scored 30 points for the Eagles in a win over Belt on Saturday.

Each week, MTN Sports will update a list of the state’s “30-point club,” showcasing the performances of 30 points or more throughout the season.

The list below showcases some of the top-scoring performances of the 2018-2019 season. Please encourage your coaches and administrators to send statistics to sports@ktvh.com at the conclusion of games. If a 30-point performance is missing from the list, please send the official box score to sports@ktvh.com. Performances cannot be submitted without the official box score.
