Park City boys, girls shut down Reed Point-Rapelje

PARK CITY – The Park City basketball girls climbed into sole possession of third place in District 6C Friday night with a 35-28 win at home over Reed Point-Rapelje.

Bree Smith led the Panthers (5-5, 5-3) in scoring with 10 points, followed by Alyx Grabowska with eight. Jocelyn Ott scored 16 for RPR to lead everybody.

After closing the first quarter down two, Park City rallied to build a 20-14 halftime lead.

Park City’s boys won the nightcap, 53-22, improving to 8-2, 7-1. The Panthers’ only losses are to Red Lodge in the season opener and to district-leading Plenty Coups last week.

Garrett McMillen led everybody in scoring with 13 for Park City. Connor McNeil added eight and Tristen Johnstone had seven. Jeremy Boatman paced Reed Point-Rapelje with seven points.

Park City led 19-9 at halftime then increased it to 33-14 after three quarters.
