MISSOULA – On Saturday afternoon, the Helena High girls traveled to Missoula to take on the Hellgate Knights in an attempt to stay on top of the Class AA ranks.
In the first two quarters, the Hellgate Knights came out competing with the best in the Western AA. At the half, the Knights were down just 2 points at the half 19-17. In the second half, though, the Bengals came alive on both sides of the ball, scoring 20 points in the third, while holding the Knights to just 6. In the fourth quarter, more impressive defense from Helena, as they allowed only two Hellgate points, giving up only eight in the entire second half, as the Bengals win it 49-25.
