BUTTE – While the boys were in Great Falls, the Butte High and Great Falls CMR girls basketball teams squared up against each other in Richardson gymnasium in Butte on Saturday.
The low-post presence from Lady Rustlers center Allie Olsen and guard play from Emily Funseth were critical for CMR to build an early three-point lead on the road. Butte High, led by Brittney Tierney and Aspen Lovshin, held its own, and a 15-4 run in the third quarter by the Lady Bulldogs helped propel them to a 48 to 37 win.
