HARDIN – Sammi Spitzer shot 7-12 for 19 points to lead all scorers Friday night in Laurel’s 50-41 road win over Hardin in a Class A girls basketball matchup. The Locomotives led 24-19 at half.
Freshman Mya Hansen added 14 points. Aspen Cotter scored eight, all in the second half.
Marie Five led Hardin on 8-13 shooting for 16 points.
Hardin’s boys ran away with the late game, building a 36-13 halftime lead on its way to a 62-29 final.
