MANHATTAN – The Manhattan Tigers hosted Jefferson on Thursday night and split the series with the Panthers. The Jefferson boys opened up with a 41-34 victory over the Tigers, but the Manhattan girls bounced back with a commanding 66-50 win.
Jasmine Grossman led the way for the Manhattan girls, scoring a team-high 15 points. Ariah Carrier (13) and Olleca Severson (12) also scored in the double digits for the Tigers. For the Panthers, freshman Rachel VanBlaricom had herself a night. The freshman scored a game-high 16 points. Senior Ashley Pankratz added 15 in the loss.
