BOZEMAN -- Wednesday marked an extremely special time for high school and their families. It was National Signing Day, where students officially commit to their future colleges.
At Bozeman High School, four athletes committed: Emma Fox is headed to Rocky Mountain College to play volleyball, Hunter Williams has committed to Whitworth University for baseball, Alex Moore is headed to Montana State for cross country and track, and Terra Trom is headed to Oregon to run.
Best of all, Moore committed literally 30 minutes before signing after she got the OK from the coach and her parents while in Spanish class.
But she signed just in time and her classmates Trom and Williams summed up perfectly what this day means.
"I never really imagined getting to that level, at least my freshman and sophomore year of high school," said Trom. "It's really just an honor and I'm super excited for the opportunity and I'm really thankful for everything that has gotten me to this point and I'm really thankful for the Oregon coach for taking a chance on me and I'm very excited."
"I just have to thank all the guys I've been playing with," Williams said. "All those teammates on that team, everyone that I've been playing with. I just want to thank all of them for playing with me and just getting us this far. It's been a really fun run."
