BUTTE – All week long the best 8-man football players in the treasure state have been preparing for tonight’s 36th annual Bob Cleverely 8-man all star game.

What’s impressed both coaching staffs the most throughout the week is how these athletes have meshed and put it all together in just a short amount of time. A testament to the level of talent we get to see at Bob Green Field in Butte tonight.

“It’s one thing to be around your program, and learn unique ways to teach your kids things,” said red team head coach Greg Horton. “But all of a sudden you go to a game like this and these kids are cream of the crop in their program’s and what might take you two weeks to explain to a kid these kids get it in 2 minutes.”

“These are the best seniors in the state. So just the way they’ve put it together you know they’re geling pretty well and getting along great,” says blue team head coach Taw Eissinger. “It’s fun you know they’re having a good time and it makes it easy for us coaches to you know get the work done.”

Kick-off is at 7 p.m. tonight and you can find full game highlights and recap right here at MontanaSports.com
