MISSOULA – Missoula and parts of Montana have gotten to see Sentinel running back Elias DeWaters flash his talents on the football field on Friday nights the past couple seasons. Now, as of last Wednesday, fans will be able to continue watching DeWaters, but this time on Saturdays.

DeWaters committed to the Montana Grizzly football team on Oct. 17. In his senior season, DeWaters has gone for more than 750 rushing yards through nine games and nearly 300 yards receiving. Those numbers add to his varsity career totals of more than 2,000 yards and 21 total touchdowns.

“When I was younger just playing with my friends, we were playing flag football in the backyard or doing whatever, playing tackle, always just looking up to those guys watching them on the TV or going to games,” DeWaters said. “And the program itself is just great. I love what Bobby Hauck is doing. He knows a lot about football, he’s coached at some pretty big programs. He’s taken the Griz far in his past coaching sprees with them, so I am just excited to come back and be a part of what they have to offer.”
