KALISPELL — One fumble made all the difference.

Christian Hensley forced a Brady Martin fumble in the fourth quarter, then Kalispell Glacier added two late touchdowns to help the Wolfpack defeat Helena Capital 35-21 on Friday night at Legends Stadium. The win moves Glacier to 3-5 and keeps the team’s playoff hopes alive.

Bridger Grovom hit Martin on a route near the right sideline, which Martin turned into a 50-yard gain. But Hensley ran Martin down and poked the ball from behind, giving Glacier momentum in the 21-all contest. Preston Blaine scored a 49-yard touchdown moments later to give the Wolfpack a 28-21 advantage.

Blaine added another score later in the quarter, part of 21 consecutive points for Glacier to seal the victory.

Glacier (3-5) and Helena Capital (3-5) are now tied in the Class AA standings with Butte, which defeated Great Falls High. It’s likely at least one of those teams qualifies for the postseason, which begins Friday, Nov. 2.
