8-Man football roundup: Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap trounces Park City in battle of unbeatens

PARK CITY — Jordan Nees had four touchdowns as the Tri-City co-op of Hobson-Moore-Judith Gap ran past Park City, 52-14, in a battle of 8-Man South unbeatens on Friday.

Nees started the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and added two more scoring runs in the second to help the Titans build a 38-8 halftime lead. Zack Thomas threw two first-half touchdowns — one each to Jack Hickey and Hayden Patnode — and the Titans added a defensive score when Shane Wichman returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown.

Nees added his third TD in the third quarter, and Thomas hit Wichman for another Tri-City score.

Park City got scoring runs from Carson Baker and Tucker Johnstone.

With the win, Tri-City improves to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the 8-Man South. The Titans are tied atop the conference standings with Joliet which is also 5-0 overall and 4-0 in conference. Park City falls to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
