MISSOULA – In 2016 the Kalispell Glacier Wolfpack went 11-2 on the season and lost to Billings Senior in the state championship game. Since then, the Wolfpack have combined for a 4-8 record over the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

They are 0-3 to start this season but have put up some good fights, losing their opener to a tough Senior team by just one point. They lost to Bozeman, 38-22, on Friday, but the Wolfpack looked like a new team in the second half, scoring 16 points.

Glacier coach Grady Bennett actually said it was the proudest he’s ever been of a team in his time as head coach, and he’s hoping that second half will propel the Wolfpack into the win category and get them rolling for the latter half of the season.

“The team that we’ve been for two weeks — just again a lot of issues that, you know, internal stuff going on, but what we worked on this week and what I saw (Friday), we’re a different team, and I asked them to let the second half propel us into the rest of our season,” Bennett said. “We’ll be a different team from this point on, and I’m confident that we are now. We learned a ton about ourselves (Friday), so proud of them.”
