FAIRFIELD — Ryder Meyer and Dawson Allen hooked up for three touchdowns and Libien Becker ran for two as Fairfield cruised to a 49-12 win over Deer Lodge on Friday.
The Eagles actually found themselves in an early hole after Deer Lodge returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. Meyer quickly responded, though, capping a three-play drive with a 15-yard scoring toss to Keeley Bake. Becker added his first rushing touchdown moments later, and Meyer later hit Allen to give Fairfield a 21-6 lead by the end of the first quarter.
It was more of the same in the second, with Allen catching two more TDs from Meyer and Becker adding another one on the ground. Malaki Hvamstad also scored a rushing touchdown as the Eagles built a 49-12 lead by the halftime break.
The Eagles are 1-0 on the season, while Deer Lodge falls to 0-2.
