One of the most beloved high school football coaches in all of Montana passed away Friday morning.
Steve Vezina, a former football coach at Dillon, was diagnosed with prostate, colon and liver cancer in November of 2013. Not even his illness could pull him away from football, though. He wore a travel bag full of fluids, so he could coach practices for the East-West Shrine Game. He was a larger-than-life personality and touched so many.
On the night of his death, the Dillon Beavers gave him something to smile about, as they defeated Polson 21-7.
