THREE FORKS — The Three Forks boys basketball team is heading to the Class B state tournament on Wednesday.

In the divisional championship last week, the Wolves lost by three points to Colstrip. They will be taking on Poplar in the first round and, although they’re down one starter in guard Payden Lynn, the red and white are still feeling confident.

“I think we play great defense, which keeps us in games,” head coach Terry Hauser said. “I think we can play with anybody, because our defense is stellar. We kind of live off our defense and we just have to score a little bit better, and we may be the best team inside.”

“We have big guys who can finish, we have guys who can shoot, we have kind of an all-around team,” senior Colter Miller added. “We’re not just a bunch of shooters. When we get a fast break we can slow it down and play it.”

The Wolves are in action starting Wednesday at 3 p.m.
