HELENA — The Helena Capital boys basketball team beat the Missoula Big Sky Eagles by a score of 59-40 Tuesday. The win moved the Bruins to 3-3 in the Western AA, good for fourth in the league.
The Bruins’ win came partly due to their ability to silence the dangerous Camdyn LaRance. Entering Tuesday’s matchup, LaRance averaged nearly 19 points per game, but the Bruins held him to only nine points. The Bruins were led offensively by Shane Haller with 15 points and Bridger Grovom with 13 points.
After winning three of their past five games, the Bruins will have a break until Feb. 7 when they travel to Missoula Sentinel. Big Sky, meanwhile, will have one day to prepare before they host Helena High on Jan. 31.
