HELENA — Helena High built an early lead before pulling away late to beat Western AA boys basketball opponent Kalispell Glacier on Saturday afternoon, 59-42.
The Bengals jumped out to an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter but couldn’t find separation from the Wolfpack until late in the fourth quarter. Leading by eight with less than four minutes left, the Bengals closed the game on an 11-2 to bury Glacier.
Connor Murgel led Helena with 21 points, while Drew Engellant led the Wolfpack with 15. Helena High improves to 6-5 overall and 3-2 in the Western AA. Glacier falls to 4-6, 2-2.
