HELENA — Top-ranked Missoula Hellgate imposed its will against Helena High in a Western AA boys basketball game on Saturday afternoon, as the Knights dropped the Bengals in Helena, 59-37.

Hellgate jumped out to a 14-5 advantage after the first quarter, but Helena was able to hang around in the second quarter and trail by just 10 entering halftime, 27-17.

The Knights’ defense locked down Helena in the third quarter, allowing just five points. Hellgate was able to stretch its lead to 19 by the end of the third quarter, as it coasted to victory.
